How it started

Built so one dog
would never need
daycare again.

Stella's Coffee House began with a stubbornly simple idea: don't send your dog to daycare — build her a business she can call home. Everything else grew around that. A cosy room in JVC, rooted in the neighbourhood, where remote workers, families and neighbours each find their own corner.

We knew the coffee
had to be exceptional.

Everything else would follow. Our beans are Brazilian in origin — carefully sourced, full of natural warmth and complexity. From the very first cup we served, the response said it all. Customers kept coming back. Then they started asking to take the beans home.

We had such a lovely experience at Stella's Coffeehouse in JVC. We were served by Juliet, who was very kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. We ordered the chicken schnitzel and rice bowl — both dishes were absolutely amazing, so compliments to the chef! The atmosphere is quiet, intimate, and perfect for having a nice chat. The place is clean, the bathroom is huge and spotless, and the best part for me was that it's dog-friendly, so I could bring my little dog with me. As a lovely touch, we were also given a complimentary cookie at the end. Five stars from me. We'll definitely be coming back!

This is not a dog-cafe, it's a dog's cafe. Stella literally pads around like she owns the place and rightly so, she's a good dog. If it was a 'themed' restaurant I'd probably avoid it. But Stella's serves quality coffee and a really good range of brunch. Good shakshuka, delicious sarnies, solid pasta options. Friendly staff, attentive service, reasonable pricing. Avoid if you have dog allergies, but otherwise it's worth a visit.
